According to a CB Richard Ellis report, some 60,000 square meters of industrial buildings and facilities were opened in Bucharest in 2006, adding up to an existing total of 310,000 square meters. Still, analysts say that the offers in the area are much lower compared to other Central and Eastern European countries.
A new decrease in the amount of available industrial space is expected for 2007, while rents are expected to remain at the same level.
According to the CB Richard Ellis analysis, Bucharest and Sofia rank last in Europe in this field. Warsaw, Bratislava and other capitals have between 500,000 and 800,000 square meters, while Prague and Budapest have up to 1,200,000 square meters of industrial space.
