20,000 Romanians spent Easter in Bulgaria

Bulgarian Black Sea resort owners have announced that some 20,000 Romanian tourists spent the Easter holiday in Bulgaria, according to Novinite.com. Romanians opted for the Bulgarian seaside resorts instead of Romania’s because tourism offers there were more attractive and the weather was milder, according to the source.

Hotels on the Romanian seaside usually open up in May or early June. Most of them failed to respond to strong demand for the short but very warm Easter holiday last weekend.

According to Novinite.com, Bulgarian police have complained that Romanian drivers have tried to ignore traffic rules. A series of minor accidents have occurred.
