Government doesn't change yet


Although all Romanian media predicted as one that a governmental restructuring was to be expected today, after the last statements made by PM Calin Popescu Tariceanu. Still, during the five-hours session of the cabinet, the subject wasn't even brought up and sources say a new, all-Liberal shape of the Government would not be proposed this week.
Other sources claim that PM Tariceanu may name an Opposition top figure as Interior Minister, namely Cristian Diaconescu, Social-Democrat vice president.

During the first minutes of the session, when the journalists were accepted in the room, the members of the cabinet worked on solving the deep political crisis by making fun of a new institution: The National Potatoes and Sugar Beet Research and Development Institute.

In other words, small potatoes...
