Spanish unions demand restrictions for Romanian workers

The main labor union in Spain recommends the authorities in Madrid to postpone two years the free access of Romanians and Bulgarians on the labor market. According to union leaders, the term would enable Romania and Bulgaria to gain a true social and economic progress, the Thursday edition of El Pais reads.

The Spanish Labor and Social Policy Minister, Jesus Caldera, said that the Government has not yet adopted an official decision on the access to jobs for Romanians and Bulgarians, mentioning that he would still analyze the suggestion made by the Workers’ General Union.
