The BRD-Societe Generale bank reported a net profit of 477 million RON (135 million euro) in the first nine months of 2006, up 6% compared to the same period last year, a bank press release says.
The bank’s net income grew 20% to 1.18 billion RON. Considering the high level of spending related to investments and recruitment, the gross exploitation result reached 592 million RON, up 6% compared to September last year.
The total volume of credits delivered to clients exceeded 16.3 billion RON (4.6 billion euro), up 84% compared to the same period last year. The volume of deposits also had an ascending trend with over 17,4 billion RON (4.8 billion euro), up 22% compared to September 20, 2005.
